Ad Astra

Ad Astra poster

Another space movie came out, so of course I went to the cinema to see it, just like I did with Gravity and Interstellar. It was a very spontaneous decision, seeing an article about it at 7 PM, watching a trailer at 7:10 and at 8 PM being at the cinema with my friend Calin.

The movie's main character is Major Roy McBride, who is part of the U.S. Space Command (SpaceCom). He is a very calm person, his pulse never going over 87. No matter what’s the situation, whether it’s being in freefall after an explosion in the upper atmosphere, or being shot at by pirates on continue.

Blade Runner 2049

Blade Runner 2049 poster

The original Blade Runner, which came out in 1982, is an iconic movie. It poses difficult questions, has great monologues about the human condition, and had just enough open questions left to have fans debating pretty much until now. Somehow, Hollywood decided to make a sequel to it 35 years later, but unfortunately it has been a box office flop so far :( Bad audiences, bad! That's why we can't have good movies, only endless Transformers movies :(

I will continue with spoilers

The original movie introduces the concept of Replicants, which are pretty much artificial human beings, genetically enhanced to be much stronger and more resistant than normal continue.

On Saturday I went to see Interstellar. I had heard many opinions about it. Dodo was praising it to heavens. Some colleagues said it was boring and way too long. Other complained about the *spoiler*. Other said it was very good.

First let me describe the Swiss cinemas (gross overgeneralization, this being my first time in one). You have way more legroom, so you can actually sit comfortably and people can walk past you without you having to get up. A big surprise for me was that at the middle of the movie you have a 5-10 minute break, where you can go to the bathroom, stretch continue.

Filmele iernii

  • Let the Bullets Fly - Îi film chinezesc. Sense, it doesn't make too much.

This movie has so much testosteron it should just be called "Balls". - Craig Ferguson.

'nuff said.
